Flora Maria Hotel – Ayia Napa

Project description: A low budget conversion of a 35 year old building in Ayia Napa into a hotel of the 21st century meeting contemporary design and ergonomic requirements. The building was originally build as apartments to be used by tourists or locals as accommodation for their holiday. Our task was to turn the whole block into a hotel by getting rid of the kitchenettes in every room and creating a hotel lobby.

We used light materials and happy vivid colors along with the neutral colors for the big surfaces. We We removed everything and replaced materials, furniture and finishes in all of the areas of the hotel either by tearing down unnecessary walls and building new ones where needed as well as investing into new furniture in the public spaces, keeping a happy yet comfortable atmosphere in the public spaces.  All bedrooms where renovated in contemporary style in a calm contrasting mood.

Our design concept is highly appreciated by both the people who are working there as well as the guests staying there for its light and happy atmosphere! This project was in collaboration with interior designer Leonidas Leonidou.
